14 x 3.5m Rods, plus Matting, Pegs, Jute Ties and Cable Ties, Instructions, Photos to construct 1m Tunnel length.
Sold per metre, simply select 5 items if for example 5m tunnel required. (14 rods required for 1st metre, 12 for additional)

Comes complete with detailed instructions akong with photographs of each construction stage.

Simple and natural, great service.

The willow whips came well packaged with all necessary items to build a simple willow structure. The membrane, tie wraps, string and most importantly the willow all included and great quality. I am looking forward to watching my arch develop.

The willow branches arrived extremely quickly despite the time of year I ordered them, and they were all packaged together securely and safely. Weaving the branches was a lot easier than I thought it would be considering I did it on my own, and the branches seem to be settling fine as they're already sprouting leaves. Will definitely shop here again in the future.

Willow arrived as expected in very good condition. Directions were clear. We found the weed control a bit fiddly so dispensed with it and have mulch well with barkchippings instead. Can’t wait to see it sprout!

Community Willow Tunnel Project

In February we planted a willow tunnel as part of a community project to improve the playing field in our parish. It has been a great success. We purchased 5 packs and created a splendid, winding 15m tunnel. The willow rods were excellent quality, we stored them outside for a couple of weeks due to the weather preventing planting on the agreed date but all have taken. The packs included everything that was needed for the project. We phoned for advice before ordering and after planting and found the team at Yorkshire Willow very helpful. This is the second time we have used Yorkshire Willow as we planted 170 cuttings in our Community Orchard four years ago. These all took well in spite of having to store them for several weeks and in the last 3 years we have harvested rods and created a sculpture in the Orchard. Some of the less vigorous cultivars have died out over time, but this is probably due to the conditions they are growing in and overcrowding s the stools have developed so we are not bothered by this. I would certainly recommend Yorkshire Willow and hope to create more structures in the future using their materials.

Phoned up to ask for some advice about a willow tunnel before purchasing and was very impressed with the service and advice I received.
Order came within a few days.
Easy to follow instructions and finding it easy enough to make the tunnel.

Willow tunnel

Received the four packs within three days , well packed and came as ordered, with clear instructions. Took an afternoon to build by myself, now just waiting to see it mature and grow. Very pleased with the product and delivery.

Mostly as described - some potential improvements but good quality overall

Received the willow on date expected and it was well packaged. It was a combination of 2 sets of 1.8 by 2M wide by 1M long arch kits. That means a total area covering 2m by 2M and 1.8M high.
I only received 1 ground sheet of 1M by 2M so had half the space and had to adapt the arch construction.
The instructions are a bit odd and some diagrams rather than pictures would be better as would the approach of diagramming a 1M version and then a 2M version as this would / could readily be extended to any other length greater than 2M - instead of providing info about 6M examples.
Despite these issues I was able to construct a suitable arch between getting home and nightfall - about 2-3 hours single handed and to a satisfactory set up (compensating for lack of floor/weed matting).
I also ordered 100 willow sticks for planting and these were bundled with the package so well packaged.
Didn't use the Jute ties as they are far too short. Would be better to provide fewer and make them longer - more pegs would also have been good. These are good quality and hold down the weed matting very well. The quality of the matting is excellent although as mentioned it was exactly 1M by 2M with no lee way.
The plastic cable ties were useful but I had to connect two together every single use and I'd acquired a few plastic gardening ties of my own which were much better suited to the task as they could be readjusted and can be removed or expanded later. They were also green so less conspicuous.
When I'd finished it was very dark so I revisited the next day (after work) and made some adjustments but all in all it worked out well.
Overall - after 1 week
The willow shoots seem to be taking and the arch looks impressive.
I'm pleased with the arch and think I've managed to do a great job with the items. The quality of the goods is high but some closer consideration for the accessories would make the overall package faultless.
I would recommend this supplier and the quality of the goods and I would use again.
